The Extinct Dinosaur

Finally I got a quilt complete!  Saturday sew days are no longer in session, and summer is about to begin.  So quilting in my world has once again dwindled away.  There is hope though.....

The dinosaurs  are complete, done, finished, capoot , EXTINCT!
Piper loves having it to finally sleep under.

It was machine quilted by Carla Muggli, a local gal who does some amazing  stuff at a reasonable price.

Sorry for the bad photos.  It was late and I was struggling to get good light.  It's great though.  I even made a dinosaur label for it.

I have to whip stitch the label down yet, but it is on and done.

I have a few quilts in the house that need labels.  Better get on that!

Now it is camping season.  Mark got the camper ready to go the other weekend.  We have decided to take it for a test run this weekend since it supposed to be in the 80's this weekend.  I have put quite a few blankets in it, but we need some "camper " quilts.  You know the heavy cozy ones for when it gets cold at night even though  it was 80 during the day?  Yep those ones, scrappy!

A couple of stash busters coming up!!

Have a great  weekend.  Hope it'a camping weather for you too!

  1. Quilts for your camper sounds like a great idea. We have a caravan (trailer I think you call them) and my caravan quilt has lovely warm wool batting, so cosy.

  2. I love wool batting! It is awesome for hand quilting as well as warm and cozy!
